From then on, you can take part in all sorts of cultural
and leisure activities: one evening, one afternoon and at
weekends, you can watch a French film, there are theme evenings
at the school, beach parties, bowling, disco, hiking, rafting,
conferences, guided museum visits, excursions accompanied
by a teacher, or you can just take part in the multitude of
events taking place on the Riviera. These programmes are optional
and free of charge, except for museum entry and transport.
SPORTS OPTIONS
SAILING (July - August). Every afternoon, from
2pm onwards, from Monday to Friday and for two weeks, you
will be taught how to sail. (10 sessions of around 3 hours
each). You will learn on a catamaran, with monitors that
are certified by the French Sailing Federation. After a few
theory sessions, you will soon be out on one of the most stunning
seas in the world: the Mediterranean. The team supervising
the students is made up of monitors who have experience in
teaching people from all different horizons. As much as possible,
the sessions will be carried out in French.
UNDERWATER DIVING (June – September).
The same timetable as for the sailing lessons. Every
session is preceded by a briefing and a theoretical approach
to the dive that will follow. You will be taken by boat to
the dive, supervised by monitors certified by the F.F.E.S.M..
8 lessons are devoted to teaching and practice following a
rigorous progression. The last two dives are devoted exclusively
to exploration. At the end of this course, you will be awarded
the PADI 1st level. A blend of sport, relaxation, and solidarity
whilst learning a language, this course is certainly a wonderful
experience.
